We welcome Garth Stewart, Jenny Karlsson and Richard Wade, and say goodbye to Lucy Shepherd and Rhiannon Looseley

Garth Stewart joins us as Archive Assistant


Photograph of Garth StewartGarth graduated in the summer of 2007 with a BA Hons in Archaeology/Modern History. Before joining the BPMA he undertook voluntary cataloguing/user services work in the Royal Ulster Rifles Museum, Belfast.

Outside of the office Garth enjoys both playing and watchin football, hiking, tennis, reading and "discovering anything vaguely historical"

Welcome to Jenny Karlsson!

Photograph of Jenny KarlssonJenny has previously worked in the press departments at the British Library, Innocent Drinks and Amnesty International.

As PR & Communications Officer, Jenny's role will include taking responsibility for the PR and Marketing at the BPMA. Outside of work, Jenny has a keen interest in museums, heritage and travelling.

First job for Richard Wade

Photograph of Richard WadeWorking at the BPMA as an Archive Assistant is Richard's first full time position since graduating from Swansea University with a BA in History. Richard will be working in the Search Room and helping with both the Record Centre and Cataloguing.

When not at work, Richard is a budding musician playing both the clarinet and saxophone.

Goodbye and Good Luck!

We were very sorry to recently say goodbye to Lucy Shepherd, Archives Assistant, and Rhiannon Looseley, Web Officer. Lucy left us in September to begin a MA course in Archives and Records Management at University College London, and Rhiannon is now E-Learning Officer (Web) at Museum of London.Photograph of Lucy Shepherd We wish them both every success in their future careers.
